Job Description: The Versailles Church of Christ in Versailles, Indiana is seeking a full time, Restoration preacher. We are centrally located about 30 miles on all directions by bigger towns. We are about 50 miles west of Cincinnati. We are a small close-knit congregation of about 50 people. We do not have elders or deacons at this time. We are looking for a minister who is humble, yet, knowledgeable and grounded in the truth of God’s Word and has the zeal and passion to proclaim it. He needs to believe in and stand on God’s plan for salvation—Belief, Repentance, Confession, Baptism by Immersion and Living Faithfully until death.
We want someone who loves the Bible and is always willing to study and grow from it. We need someone with a great personality yet who is serious about leading people to Jesus. He needs to be able to relate to people of all ages. He will be expected to preach on Sunday mornings and Sunday nights, teach Bible classes, make visits to the homes of people in the congregation, in the hospital and nursing homes as needed, and assist the members in evangelizing and getting involved in the community. He needs to love people and relate to and be aware of their needs. He needs to be enthusiastic, encouraging, and able to work alongside leadership.
Our town is small, but has much potential with great opportunities for growth and expansion because there are lots of families of all ages. Our congregation has been in existence and serving our community for over 60 years. It has been much bigger in the past with a great youth group, but the last few years we have gone through some hard times, as have many congregations. We know we can build back up with help from the right family.
We have a Christian preschool that meets in the church building 3 days a week during the school year, with between 45-50 children. We have a great public school system and a community that comes together for events, sports, and benefits. We have several good restaurants in town, a nice library, and a State Park.
The church will provide a salary and a nice 3 bedroom/1 ½ bath house to live in right beside the church building.

I am so excited for you, the next pastor to get to know and care for this wonderful flock."
